My Passion for Harp
So often people approach me while I am playing and say, "I love the harp!" I do too! I am passionate about playing the harp, making music and touching people's hearts with harp music. It is even a passion to teach others to play and enjoy the harp. It is exciting to continue to stretch the capacity of the harp to play all styles and types of music from Bach to Lady Antebellum. Background
Nancy Ann Gillan has a Bachelor of Music degree in performance from Baldwin Wallace University where she studied with renowned harpist, Alice Chalifoux. Nancy Ann performs throughout South Florida as a soloist and with chamber groups for a variety of businesses, organizations and private events. She has played for such notable individuals as Celine Dion, Greg Norman and Benjamin Netenyahu. Nancy Ann teaches harp and her Harp Crew Studio is busy with student performances. Currently she is Vice President of the South Florida chapter of the American Harp Society and has previously served as president. Nancy Ann also plays the harp as therapy and has her master certification as a bedside harp therapist.
